In March 2026, some Neto storefronts experienced intermittent latency and temporary availability issues due to a significant increase in automated bot traffic targeting the platform.
Our investigation identified unusually high volumes of non-legitimate crawling activity, which created additional load on platform resources and affected performance for some sites. A portion of this traffic closely resembled normal browsing behaviour, which made it more difficult to block immediately using standard bot protections alone.
Once identified, we implemented targeted traffic management and rate-limiting controls to reduce the abusive traffic while preserving access for legitimate shoppers. These actions stabilised platform performance and reduced the immediate impact.
We are continuing to strengthen our protections through ongoing monitoring, refined traffic rules, collaboration with our infrastructure and security partners, and additional platform-level improvements to better defend against similar behaviour in future.
